Xirrus High Density Access Points meet the unprecedentedĭemands for high performance and high capacity Wi-Fi networks With dual core to 6 core processors and 2-16 radio platforms, New FeaturesĪpplication Control – Firewall, apply QoS, and manage 900+ application types under 15 categories using Layer 7 Deep Packet Inspection and other contextual application detection techniques.īonjour Director – Extend Apple Bonjour protocols across Layer 3 boundaries for simple setup configuration of commonly used shared Apple services such as Airplay and Airprint. The modular platform ensures support for new wireless technologies and is the first 802.11ac/11ad-ready product available.

Modular APs can be purchased in 300Mbps or 450Mbps versions, and every modular AP is capable of operating at 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
XIRRUS NETWORK INSPECTOR UPGRADE
The Xirrus XR-1000 radio upgradable wireless platform allows a network to upgrade technologies without full replacement of the Array. The design allows for hardware based encryption, compression, acceleration, as well as reliable quality of service with uptimes and availability optimized for 802.11n performance and scalability. The architecture of the Xirrus XR-1000 Array is based upon a Network Services Processor (NSP) that delivers uncompromised performance to all associated users. Field upgradable to new technologies (802.11ac, 802.11ad).Supports 300Mbps or 450Mbps 802.11n versions.2 multi-state modular access points (2.4GHz and 5GHz).The XR-1000 utilizes the same multi-state modular APs available in all Xirrus XR Wireless Arrays, and is available in 300Mbps or 450Mbps 802.11n versions.
XIRRUS NETWORK INSPECTOR SERIES
The Xirrus XR-1000 Series combines unmatched flexibility in wireless standards with the ability to scale a network to meet increasing demands without adding additional devices. The Xirrus XR-1000 Series 4-slot chassis is the industry’s only multi-state radio platform supporting multiple configurations with post-installation upgrade options. The XR-1000 is designed to meet requirements for wireless coverage in high RF attenuation environments (dense walls), low user/device density coverage, and designs that include isolated locations where reliable wireless coverage is desired. The Xirrus XR-1000 Wireless Array provides superior price/ performance value by integrating two multi-state (2.4GHz and 5GHz) modular APs with high gain directional antennas, wireless controller, multi-gigabit switch, firewall, threat sensor and spectrum analyzer into a single modular chassis. With a wealth of network information and a number of troubleshooting tools, Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector is a valuable addition to any laptop. The Xirrus XR-1000 Series Wireless Array is the first modular Wi-Fi product of its kind featuring upgradability, high scalability, high performance and integrated security to economically serve today’s requirements without sacrificing for tomorrow’s demand. The final panel show details of the wireless signal history so you can see how stable your connection is over time.

This panel also provides access to the Locate Mode that can be used to home in on a particular wireless network. The Networks panel displays more detailed information about any wireless networks that have been detected to supplement the data in the radar. The Connection panel displays information about the network connection that is currently being used such as signal strength and the IP address that has been assigned. The radar readout is something of a gimmick, but provides an easy way to determine relative signal strength at a glance. The program interface is divided into four panels, with the radar giving an indication of nearby networks based on signal strength. At home, the signal strength monitor can also be used to test your own wireless network, checking its range and testing for blackspots. When you are away from home, this provides a handy way to track down the nearest connection by tracking signal strength.
