The woman at the well was looking for love in all the wrong places. Although bible reading and prayer are important, there is no required amount that I have to do to earn more of God’s love. I felt like if I just completed a certain task, read my Bible, or prayed in a certain way I could be on God’s good side. Still, for most of my life, I’ve tried to earn it.
